These Homes Are Already Occupied
By Families, Thank You.

It is unbelievable what is happening to this country's neighborhoods. We're not talking about terrorists or drug dealers any more, we are talking about a new type of "bully" - the modern American mortgage industry. Poor litigation, lucrative loopholes, and outright illegal practices have placed family after family into the danger of foreclosure as the customer is now seen as prey instead of patron.

Big banks are cashing in by turning over bad loans to consumers only to bet against them, as brokers robo-sign homeowners dreams away only to be rewarded for fraud.
Do you realize by the end of today there will have been approximately 8,500 foreclosure actions in this country - more than one thousand every working hour? It's been that way every day for almost
5 years
. If that's just too much to believe, here are some facts:

Number of foreclosures started since 2007
 6.6 million

Estimated foreclosures during next 5 years
Up to 12 million

Family and homeowner mortgages underwater in 2011
11.1 million

Homes neighboring foreclosures that have lost property value
69+ million

Average price decline per home
$7,200

Home equity lost to homeowners since 2007 (California)
$1.9 trillion

Amount of families found in homeless shelters on a given night
Over 10,900

Did you realize the amount thousands of homeowners are paying off banks for home value that no longer exists is greater than the entire Federal deficit for 2011. As these rates skyrocket, so does the amount of homeless families, effecting more than 1,000,000 children in America. If you refuse to sit there and let this happen to your neighbors, friends, and even yourselves, reach out and
take a stand! Take the pledge against greed demolishing America's towns and cities and help Occupy Our Homes send a clear message: Enough is Enough!
